Author Han Kang's "Light and Thread," her first book since she won the Nobel Prize in Literature last year, will be released on April 24.
Leading domestic online bookstores on April 17 announced their launch of alerts on the book's debut, with preorders starting on April 23.
"Light and Thread" is also the title of the lecture Han gave in December last year at the Swedish Academy in Stockholm before the Nobel Prize awards ceremony.
The book is a 172-page collection of Han's essays including never-before published poems, prose and diary-like entries, along with her Nobel acceptance speech.
Kyobo Book Centre called the work "Han Kang's records of long and deep love, imagining hope as long as life itself."
The book also contains two of Han's poems published in the fall edition last year of the periodical Literature and Society.
