Foreign promoters and creators of Hallyu (Korean Wave) content will gather this weekend for an event in Seoul.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Nov. 8 will host this year's K Wave Festival at the theater CKL (Contents Korea Lab) Stage of the tourist information and cultural center HiKR Ground in Seoul's Jung-gu District.

The event will encourage Korea.net's 1,498 Honorary Reporters in 101 countries who promote Korea to the world, 1,303 K-influencers in 95 countries and competitors of the global Korean content contest Talk Talk Korea.

Five awards will each go to the top Honorary Reporters, K-influencers and first-place winners in each division of Talk Talk Korea.

Seventy-nine works selected as finalists from 76,296 entries will be displayed starting at HiKR Ground in Seoul (Nov. 4-9) and moving to Korean Cultural Centers in Vietnam, Indonesia and Belgium through March.

The event venue will offer activities to create a festive mood like a speed quiz on Korea; exhibition of winning works; and congratulatory performances by the taekwondo demonstration team K-Tigers Little Junior and EPEX, a K-pop boy band who is a promotional model for this year's Talk Talk Korea.

The festival will also be livestreamed on Korea.net's official YouTube channel (youtube.com/@GatewayToKorea).
