The second season of the reality competition show "Culinary Class Wars" was the most watched show not in English on Netflix for the week ending on Dec. 28.

Season two of the reality competition show "Culinary Class Wars" and the film "The Great Flood" have spent two straight weeks atop the lists of the most watched content not in English on Netflix.

Netflix's official companion site Tudum on Dec. 31 in its rankings for the week ending on Dec. 28 said "Culinary Class Wars" had 4.7 million views to lead all shows not in English.

By country, the show was No. 1 in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan and ranked within the top 10 in 16 countries including New Caledonia and the United Arab Emirates.

The program pits star chefs recognized by Michelin and other institutions against relative unknowns who are highly skilled.

Its first season was released last year and became the first Korean variety program to top the non-English chart for three straight weeks. The second season has topped the rankings for two weeks in a row since its debut on Dec. 16.

Other Korean series were also among the most popular in the non-English category.

The Netflix original Korean series "Cashero" starring Lee Jun-ho placed second, "Dynamite Kiss" third, "Idol I" sixth and "The Price of Confession" starring Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun ninth. 


"The Great Flood" topped the Netflix chart ending on Dec. 28 of the most watched films not in English.


In cinema, "The Great Flood" topped the chart for movies not in English with 33.1 million views.

Released on Dec. 19, the film is about how people struggle to survive after a massive flood hits their apartment complex on the world's final day.

"The Great Flood" ranked No. 1 in its category in 53 countries including the U.S., France, Spain, Turkiye (Turkey), Japan, Thailand and Saudi Arabia and within the top 10 in 92 others.
