K-pop supernova BTS in March will resume full group activities to break a hiatus lasting nearly four years.
The group's management agency BigHit Music on Jan. 1 officially announced that the boy band will drop its latest album on March 20, the first work with all seven members since their anthology "Proof" released in June 2022.
BTS shared news of its comeback that day by sending a handwritten letter dated "2026.3.20" to its fan community Army, thanking fans for their long wait and announcing the timing of the return.
Group leader RM said, "I waited for this more than anyone else," Jin added, "Thank you so much for waiting," and J-Hope said, "What I waited for has finally become reality."
On New Year's Eve, the group also held a livestream of its countdown to 2026 on its fan platform Weverse. Members expressed their anticipation and determination for resuming their activities, saying, "We hope for a safe comeback this year and a successful album" and "Let's make BTS a huge success."
In addition to its latest album and full-fledged resumption of activities, BTS will embark on a large-scale world tour.
