Two K-pop juggernauts next month will electrify Seoul through events that promote the country's cultural heritage.
The girl group BLACKPINK will introduce Korean culture and paint the National Museum of Korea pink, while boy band BTS on March 21 will launch its comeback at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
The museum on Feb. 12 announced a large-scale collaboration with BLACKPINK running from Feb. 27 to March 8 to mark the release of the group's third EP "Deadline."
All four members are part of a docent program to shed light on eight leading artifacts displayed at the facility. Jisoo and Jennie's explanations are in Korean, Rosé's in English and Lisa's in Thai.
The museum's Open Plaza and exterior will be adorned in BLACKPINK's signature color pink to commemorate the project. The event will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

BTS has chosen Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul's Jongno-gu District as its comeback site for March 21 to promote its fifth studio album "Arirang."
The boy band reportedly plans to travel from Gyeongbokgung Palace and pass through Gwanghwamun Gate and its woldae (elevated stone platform) before holding a performance on a stage at the gate's northern starting point. Netflix will livestream the show in around 190 countries.
