The roaring cheers of esports fans from around the world will fill two arenas in Wonju, Gangwon-do Province.
Wonju City Hall on June 11 announced its joint hosting of the 2026 LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) Road to MSI (Mid-Season Invitational) with Riot Games from June 12-14 at Wonju DB Promy Arena and Wonju Chiak Gymnasium.
The tournament is the Korean qualifier for the MSI, the global tournament for League of Legends, one of the world's most popular and widely watched esports titles.
Four domestic teams — T1, HLE, GEN.G and KT — will compete for a place in the MSI. Each squad boasts a global fanbase.
The city said it expects over 15,000 fans from both home and abroad to attend the event.
