Gyeonggi-do Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (GTO) on April 8 launched the global campaign "Trip Come True in Gyeonggi" to support the COVID-19-hit tourism sector within the province.

The initiative offers foreign tourists discounts of up to 75% on tourism products within Gyeonggi-do.

To run from April 8 to May 31, the campaign will be carried out by the leading online tourism platforms Trip.com, HanYouWang and Viator.

Discounts on admissions to 11 tourism attractions in the province are available through the promotion: Pig Museum and OOOZOO Illumination Garden in Icheon, yacht tour in Hwaseong, Herb Island in Pocheon, Korean Folk Village and Everland in Yongin, Petite France and the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong-gun County, Sanmeuoru Farm in Paju, Wave Park in Siheung and Seoul Land in Gwacheon.

One person can buy up to 10 discounted tickets, which are valid through Dec. 31, 2024.

Choi Yong-hun, director of the GTO's Tourism Division, said, "We expect the new campaign to offer practical support for the tourism industry, which has suffered due to the prolonged pandemic," adding, "We hope that the campaign can help attract more foreign tourists to visit Gyeonggi-do Province and revitalize the regional economy."
