The Korea Tourism Organization on April 7 released a list of six recommended spots to visit this month to see spring flowers under the theme "Let's walk on the flower path."
The six are Yangjae Flower Market and a cherry blossom road along Yangjaecheon Stream in Seoul's Seocho-gu District; a cherry blossom road leading to Janggoksa Temple in Cheongyang-gun County, The KTO's sixth and final recommendation Chungcheongnam-do Province; a peach blossom village in Yeongdeok-gun County, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province; the cape Gonggoji in Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do Province; Gochang Eupseong Fortress in Gochang-gun County, Jeollabuk-do Province; and a canola flower village in the Seonhak-dong neighborhood of Jangheung-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province.

The Yangjae market offers a pleasing view of a host of flowers including yellow freesias, red tulips and blue carnations. A 10-minute walk from the market leads to a cherry blossom road along Yangjaecheon Stream, which allows a stroll featuring the fragrance of cherry blossoms, especially from late March to early April.
Cherry blossom road to Janggoksa Temple in Cheongyang-gun County, Chungcheongnam-do Province (Cheongyang-gun Office)
The cherry blossom road to Janggoksa Temple presents beautiful scenery of decades-old king cherry trees along the 6-km curved road. In 2006, the road was named one of Korea's 100 most beautiful roads as selected by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport).
Peach blossom village in Yeongdeok-gun County, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province (Yeongdeok-gun Office)
The peach blossom village in Yeongdeok-gun County is the perfect place to see such blossoms, which peak after cherry blossoms fall. A drive along the village is recommended since the blossom venues are quite wide.
Gonggoji in Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do Province (Geoje City Hall)
Gonggoji is a cape located in the southeastern area of Geojedo Island. When daffodils bloom in abundance in spring, the yellow flowers create a magnificent view along with the blue sea.
Gochang Eupseong Fortress in Gochang-gun County, Jeollabuk-do Province (Gochang-gun Office)
Every April, Gochang Eupseong Fortress is packed with visitors seeing royal azaleas. The east wing is an excellent place to admire the red flower bloom alongside the winding fortress walls.
Canola flower village in the Seonhak-dong neighborhood of Jangheung-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province (Jangheung-gun Office)
The KTO's sixth and final recommendation is the canola flower village in the Seonhak-dong neighborhood of Jangheung-gun County. Yearly springtime picnickers and photographers visit the village to see waves of yellow canola flowers along with the blue sea at Deungnyangman Bay.
