Night tours of Gyeongbokgung Palace in central Seoul starting this week will allow visitors to enjoy the historical landmark in fall.

The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) on Aug. 30 said the tours will run from Sept. 1 to Nov. 6.

Operated from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and with the last entry at 8:30 p.m., the tours will be held daily except on Mondays and Tuesdays. They will also run on Sept. 12, the final day of this year's Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) holidays, and Oct. 3-4, which overlaps with this fall's Royal Culture Festival.

Tickets can be purchased on the e-commerce platform 11 Street (https://ticket.11st.co.kr) or onsite on the day of the tour. Entry of up to 200 foreign visitors are permitted per day, with one person allowed to purchase up to two tickets onsite.

A ticket is priced at KRW 3,000, but entry is free for children aged 6 or younger, senior citizens aged 65 or older, visitors wearing Hanbok, figures of national merit and their spouses, and disabled people.

CHA said, "We hope that visitors can enjoy the beautiful nightscape of Gyeongbokgung Palace representing Korean cultural heritage and create fond memories."
