Two new types of Gyeonggi Tour Pass allow unlimited visits within a designated period to leading tourist attractions in Gyeonggi-do Province such as Gwangmyeong Cave, Petite France, Anseong Farmland and Herb Island.
The provincial government and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization on June 3 announced the release of the single- and three-day versions of the pass.
Thus a user of the day pass can enjoy unlimited entry to 69 tourist attractions in Gyeonggi-do for just KRW 19,900. The pass is also good for discounts or free snacks at 16 cafes or dessert stores in the province's 31 cities and counties.
Last year, the provincial government collected public opinions from tourists who used the inaugural 48-hour pass (KRW 25,900). This led to the release of two more pass types to expand consumer choice: KRW 19,900 for 24 hours and KRW 35,900 for 72.
The 15 sellers of the pass include the Gyeonggi-do affiliate Tour Pass Mall, Naver Smart Store and Coupang.
Debuting in August last year, the two-day pass saw 24,000 units sold within four months of its release.
The number of businesses accepting the pass will be expanded to 150 this year.
