The nation is ranked third worldwide in passport power.
Henley & Partners, an investment migration consulting company based in London, on Jan. 9 released its annual Henley Passport index placing the Korean passport third for its ability to enter 192 countries without a visa. Also tied for third were Finland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Korea ranked third in January 2020, second from 2021-23, and third again over the next two years.
Singapore ranked No. 1 this year with visa-free entry to 195 countries, followed by Japan with 193.
Tied for fourth with 191 were Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.
The index indicates the number of countries that passport holders from 227 states can enter with no visa based on data from the International Air Transport Association.
