The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) on July 16 announced a summer travel feature on Visit Korea, an integrated platform for domestic tourism, offering recommendations for destinations customized for foreign tourists based on their preferences.
This section suggests attractions and interactive activities based on six themes catering to individual tourist interests: active adventurer, culture and history explorer, culinary explorer, nature lover, nightscape collector and indoor explorer.
Users take a simple personality test on their desired travel styles and get recommendations for content catering to their preferences.
"We offer customized content for each season based on Visit Korea's visitor data," said Park So-young, head of the KTO's International Digital Marketing Team. "We will expand customized information and more sophisticated target marketing."
Visit Korea provides to foreign visitors information in multiple languages on domestic tourist destinations and the country's latest trends.
