Seoul has been named Best Leisure Destination in Asia by a U.S. business and luxury travel magazine for the second straight year.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government on April 2 said the capital won the honor at the Leisure Lifestyle Awards of Global Traveler.
This honor was selected by votes from business travelers and tourism businesses from around the world.
Global Traveler said the city's diverse interactive content combined with Korean culture, shopping, gourmet food and entertainment won tourists over, adding as key factors the harmony of tradition and modern trends and multifaceted travel appeal.
Seoul has won other global honors like sixth in the Global Power City Index of Japan's Mori Foundation and the world's favorite city for millennials and Generation Z by Trazee Travel of the U.S. last year, as well as ninth this year in the 50 Best Cities in the World for 2026 by the British culture and travel site Time Out.
