The Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism (CCKB) will run the program.
From Sept. 1-30, 19 temples nationwide will offer Templestay. To attract more foreign tourists and expats in Korea to participate, an overnight stay is priced at KRW 30,000.
"Templestay is the most unique method to fully experience the 1,700-year spirit of Korean Buddhism," the CCKB said. "We hope this can be a time to share a cup of tea and care for oneself while sharing the profound beauty and warm affection of Korean Buddhism, which transcends nationality and language, at beautiful mountain temples in September."
