The famous fashion designer Coco Chanel, the founder and namesake of the brand Chanel, once said, “Fashion is made to become unfashionable.”

The two most inspirational fashion weeks are Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, which are both semiannual events. Also, Milan, London and Berlin are of global importance.

Here in Seoul, a city of history, technology and fashion, there's the HERA Seoul Fashion Week 2018 that brings all the fashion designers together to show off their upcoming line of clothing during Fashion Week.

The global fashion show hosted by the city of Seoul, is held twice every year in March and October. Fashion shows debut every season, particularly the Spring/ Summer and the Fall/ Winter seasons. At Seoul Fashion Week, you can find the best designers in Korea.

Not only the best designers but also a lot of public figures and famous figures from social media participated in the event with the most beautiful look, and this created a wide range of choice for the Korean shopper and foreign tourists.



There are many shows, indoor and open-air shows, and on the streets. The foreign presence was marked by Europeans, Arabs and Africans, all appearing on the scene in the latest styles.

The city of Seoul is filled with thousands of fashionistas and elegance is one of its most famous trademarks. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) lies in the famous Dongdaemun shopping area. Everyone from different categories is there: men, women, children and people from all around the world. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is the centerpiece of Korea's fashion hub and popular tourist destination. The DDP features large exhibition spaces, so it's the best place to hold a global fashion show.

Designed by world renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the plaza opened on March 21, 2014. Hadid called the design a “metonymic landscape.” Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) was born in Baghdad. She studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut before moving to London in 1972. Her designs are characterized by excellence and creativity. She received many awards, not least of them being the Royal Golden medal. She passed away on March 31, 2016, but her work will remain immortal.
