Nnenna UkanduWhen I first had Korean food, the taste was different from my usual food, but it didn’t stop me from exploring the nation’s different dishes; now I eat Korean food like a local.
I had to learn a few simple dishes because of my interest in Korean food. We have grocery stores in my country, where you can get some ingredients to make some Korean food for yourself.
Japchae (Korean stir fried glass noodles and vegetables) is one of the Korean dishes that I have liked right from the first time and is probably my favorite.
If you like Korean food, you should try making
japchae at home. My homemade
japchae recipe is easy and delicious.
Ingredients: glass noodles, beef fillet, garlic, seasoning, soy sauce, sesame oil and seeds, vegetable oil, carrot, onion, chili pepper, and mushrooms
Making japchae is quite easy.
Steps:
1. Cook noodles in boiling water until cooked but firm (6 mins); rinse noodles in cold water and drain.
2. Pour the shredded beef into a bowl, mix in garlic, teaspoon of vegetable oil, soy sauce and season to taste.
3. Heat a little oil in medium heat, pour in the mixed beef and stir for some minutes, add onion and cook for a minute, pour in the carrot, chili pepper, then the mushroom and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Pour in the drained noodles in the already mixed vegetables and mix properly for 1-2 minutes, finish with soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Now
japchae is ready!
