Anisa KhairunisaEvery country with a rich history and culture like Korea has traditional folk costumes and clothing. Korea greatly values its Hanbok (traditional attire), which symbolizes the beauty of Korean tradition.
Hanbok consists of the blouse or jacket
jeogori and the skirt
chima for women and loose pants
baji for men. These outfits are especially beautiful because of their vivid colors and simple but elegant designs that come in numerous variations.
I've always been fascinated by traditional Korean attire, and thus I was excited when my friend and I got the chance to try on Hanbok at a Korea House event.
When we got there, many people were waiting to try on the variety of Hanbok offered. The section booth was very busy.
After waiting, we started looking for which Hanbok styles to try on. I was overjoyed at the wide selection featuring a range of colors and patterns, and found it hard to pick one. In the end, I chose a pink outfit with a simple pattern.
After we got dressed, we walked around and went to another section; we spotted a few areas to take photos at.
At the Korea House event, I loved trying on traditional Korean clothing, eating Korean street food and other doing other activities. Thanks to the Hanbok section at Korea House, we tried on beautiful Hanbok dresses. I hope to someday try on such outfits again in Korea.
