Gukje Market can offer really cheap deals on clothing both new and used in a variety of sizes, colors, shapes and designs. Additional discounts are offered to shoppers who buy more. For example, a vendor can have a sales promo of buy one for KRW 3,000 or two for KRW 5,000.

This market features shopping similar to a ukay ukay (a store selling second-hand items) in the Philippines, in which one must literally dig into a pile of clothes to get bargains. A lot of patience is required, especially if the shopper is picky. For a chance at a bigger discount, ask the seller "Kkakkah juseyo (Please discount the price)."
