The Seoul Christmas Festival finally opened on Dec. 13 at Cheonggyecheon Stream.
Coming from a country where the Christmas celebration starts as early as September, some of the things that I really missed seeing when I moved to Korea this year are the festive celebrations and grand decorations during the holiday season.
After finishing this semester, I decided to go to Seoul to witness the Seoul Christmas Festival at Cheonggyecheon Stream. The awesome light displays illuminate the night along the Stream from Cheonggyecheon Plaza to Jangtongyo Bridge. Celebrating its fifth year, the festival features LED light decorations, including Santa’s Village, Dream Castle, a large Christmas tree and more.
There are also LED light decorations that are perfect for your new year so make sure to wear your best smile and strike a pose. It would be best to come with your loved ones but you could also enjoy a "me time" going there.
Just one more day left before this festival ends. Happy New Year!
