A music video on April 19 was released featuring dozens of artists from Korea to honor medical personnel around the world who risk their lives amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Such staff often do not have all of the required resources yet still save those infected by the coronavirus.

The 36 pop singers from 24 teams sang "Evergreen Tree," which debuted 22 years ago as Korea grappled with the 1997-98 Asian financial crisis. This video is full of emotion from the first second because of its message now as well as during the time of the financial crisis.

April 19 held added meaning in marking the 60th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, when the autocratic government of President Syngman Rhee was overthrown in 1960. This initiative of the Korean government was posted on Korea.net's YouTube channel, encouraging Hallyu fans to transmit this message of hope to their loved ones.

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, which planned this project, has a message of hope for uniting the people as in the past, when the nation overcome a crisis of democracy 60 years ago.

The song is in Korean but subtitled in English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, French, Italian, German and Spanish, and available free on Korean music sites like Melon, Genie and Naver Music. Thanks to all the participating singers for their courage to transmit this strong message to all parts of the planet.
