Honorary Reporters from all over the world wish a merry Christmas and a happy New Year to Korea.net and the planet. Thirteen Honorary Reporters in this article discuss how taking part in this program has changed their lives.

Eftychia Dovletoglou from Greece

Being an Honorary Reporter has motivated me to thoroughly research topics on Korea and learn new things. The most exciting part is talking to inspiring people and writing articles. Pieces by other Honorary Reporters are also interesting and explore new things. I like the contests and prizes, and one of my articles was deemed the most popular for a period.

Alexandra Andrienko from Russia

Being an Honorary Reporter helps me improve my writing skills and grow more confident in speaking.

Terry Alsiong from Czech Republic

Being part of the Honorary Reporter family drives me to write about Korean culture in a variety of areas, not just one field. I also like joining online events.

Nathalie Mere from France

Being an Honorary Reporter helps me make new friends worldwide with open minds and hearts. I have a new family that shares the same passion as I do, and I consider it an honor to write for Korea.net in French.

We-sam Semsem from Egypt

This is an opportunity to fulfill my duty to thank Korea, which has amazed me with its attractions and cultural activities. This program offers more chances to learn more about Korea and introduce it to others through my experiences.

Yana Ilieva from Bulgaria

I've learned a lot about Korean culture and met interesting people through this program, as well as getting to interview interesting people for articles.

Emad Elkomy from Egypt

Through this program, I can take free online classes on Korea, get invited to events hosted by Korea.net and related organizations, and create content on social networking services run by Korea.net. I also like the sense of cooperation I've developed and discussing Korea in many areas.

Pavitra Pai from India

I have a blog from which I upload a few articles every year to Korea.net. The articles have multiplied as I'm dedicated to promoting Korea and they've helped rebuild my passion for blogging. As I write and read more about Korea, I've discovered more things about Korean culture.

Carolina Bach from Argentina

Bach contributed photos for this project.

Mercy Mma Agbagha from Nigeria

I am excited to have met people from numerous countries and collaborate with many of them for articles. I've also expanded my professional network. And at last year's induction ceremony for new Honorary Reporters, I excitedly tasted Korean food for the first time.

Sori Shehab from Egypt

Being an Honorary Reporter allows me to learn more about Korean culture and meet new people who share common interests.

Bishal Rai from Nepal

I love to learn new things. Being an Honorary Reporter has helped me learn more about Korea, make new friends and build my career. I have this role on my resume and I also get excited when receiving various prizes.

Dayviana Diaz from Cuba

I've loved Korean culture for many years and this year gave me the opportunity to start helping promote it. I no longer feel like a simple fan of K-pop or K-dramas but a "messenger of hope" as first lady Kim Jung-sook said at the induction ceremony. I feel a great honor and duty as the only Honorary Reporter from Cuba and want to help spread Hallyu.
