Jegi (left) and norigae

In the second week of March, I received a gift box from the Korean Cultural Center in Jakarta for a Seollal wish project. The box contained seven Korean items including traditional craft kits, and the following are two accessories I made with the kits.

This photo shows the process of making jegi.

Jegi
This shuttlecock is used to play the traditional Korean game jegichagi. It is usually made from a coin wrapped in thin paper or plastic. My first experience making this using a craft kit was quite easy. Though not initially confident about the wrapping process, I arranged the paper to create a good color combination.

Making norigae was easy thanks to a kit I received in a gift box from the Korean Cultural Center in Jakarta.

Norigae
This is an accessory for a woman's Hanbok. I made a beautiful norigae by combining the main ornament, clasp, knots and tassels. It was incredibly easy and fun.
