After 17 days of competition, the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics ended on Aug. 8. Korea ranked 16th with 20 medals overall -- six gold, four silver and 10 bronze.

The women's archery team won three golds and the mixed team one, with An San of the women's squad being the only archer in history to bag three golds in an Olympics. The men's fencing team won the gold in team sabre and artistic gymnast Shin Jea-hwan one in the vault after making two perfect jumps. The women's badminton team won a bronze in the doubles competition, and the women's volleyball team surprisingly advanced to the semifinals thanks to its captain Kim Yeon-koung.

The following are six illustrations I drew inspired by these athletes.
