The King Sejong Institute branch in Isfahan, the institute's second in Iran, has gained more than 200 students since opening in June last year. Korean Ambassador to Tehran Yun Kang-hyeon on Sept. 29 went to the branch to meet the students there.
Korean Ambassador Yun Kang-hyeon on Sept. 29 is accompanied by cultural counselor Han Sung-rae from the Korean Embassy in Iran. Han is concurrently director of the Isfahan branch of King Sejong Institute.
This meeting marked the new semester at the institute. The students there asked the ambassador many questions, which he answered.

About 50 students gathered for a pleasant conversation with the ambassador and Korean Embassy officials and ate lunch with their new classmates. An interpreter attended the event to help those with lower Korean proficiency.
Ambassador Yun was assisted by an Iranian interpreter.
Ambassador Yun said that next year, he will strive to make Korean part of Iran's scholastic curriculum and a university major.
He also delivered a donation from the Seoul-based Korea Foundation of 132 Korean-language books to the "Korea Corner" of the University of Isfahan to broaden knowledge and understanding of Korea by Iranian students. The donated books are expected to greatly boost the functionality of the corner's library.
The Isfahan branch of King Sejong Institute has attracted over 200 students since opening in June last year.
The ambassador in his speech covered topics such as tourism, education and bilateral ties, describing Korea's perspective of and bilateral relations with Iran.
The Isfahan center holds classes in Korean and cultural workshops as Iran's second King Sejong branch after that in Tehran, reflecting the surge in the number of Iranians seeking to learn Korean.
