Dalgona is a traditional honeycomb-like candy in Korea that is seeing surging popularity after appearing in the hit Netflix series "Squid Game." As a challenge, I made this treat at home.

1. Put two tablespoons of sugar in a metal ladle.

2. Cook the sugar until it looks melted.

3. After the sugar melts, it looks like this.

4. Add a pinch of baking soda and stir until it turns brown.

5. Press down on the mixture with the bottom of a small pan to flatten it. Apply oil so the sugar doesn't stick.

6. Pour the creamy beige liquid on a flat surface, press it flat and apply a patterned mold.

Try to cut out the image without breaking it. In Korea, a customer who does so receives another dalgona free from the vendor.
