No plans for Halloween? Get your popcorn ready with these six Korean films to get you into the Halloween mood.

'The Call' (2020)
This thriller was inspired by the British and Puerto Rican supernatural horror film "The Caller." Two girls live in different times, one in the past and the other in the present. Their phone call changes their lives forever. This film is a must-see especially because of the plot twists.

'Alive' (2020)
Gamer Joon-Woo is stuck in his apartment during a zombie outbreak. He and another survivor from the opposite building fight to survive. Expect lots of action scenes in this terrific movie.

'Svaha: The Sixth Finger' (2019)
A pastor who investigates and exposes suspicious cults looks into the Deer Mount cult while police probe a murder. The cult is involved with the killing and many other missing persons in the area. I like the mysterious atmosphere this movie gives.

'Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum' (2018)
A team with an internet channel about supernatural stuff goes to an abandoned building for a live broadcast and to get views. Unexpected things start unfolding before their eyes. This film is based on the real-life psychiatric hospital Gonjiam in Gwangju and was a hit among fans of haunted houses and ghosts.

'The Mimic' (2017)
A family moves to Jangsan Mountain, where a brick wall in the forest has voices heard behind it. The mythical creature Jangsan Tiger mimics human voices to lure and devour its victims. The movie is mildly scary for horror fans but those not used to the genre might find it frightening.

'Killer Toon' (2013)
Popular horror webtoonist Ji-yoon finds out that life is imitating her creations as murders occur that resemble her drawings. Detective Ki-cheol starts to unravel the case with scary results.
