Netflix's latest Korean hit series is "All of Us Are Dead, based on an original Korean webtoon "Now at Our School," which ran from 2009-11.

Not so well-known is that the series has a Philippine extra: Noreen Joyce Guerra. Based in Korea, Joyce grew up in Roxas in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. She moved to Korea in 2015 to pursue a master's of business administration at Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul. Now an office worker in the country, she acts as a hobby.

In an email interview conducted on Feb. 8, Joyce said her favorite scene of the drama where she appears is in a science class in which school bully Gwi-nam harasses Eun-ji. The Filipina is also seen on screen when students at Hyosan High School rush to cross the pedestrian lane.

Joyce has appeared in over 85 Korean dramas including "True Beauty," "Extraordinary You" and "A Love So Beautiful." Because she has always played Korean roles, fluency in the language is a must. In her spare time, she said she likes to do sports, go for a drive, play the drums or walk around her neighborhood.

"Pursue what makes you happy," she said. "Allow no one else to define your happiness or success."
