The traditional Korean meal box (doshirak) is mainly rice and kimchi with side dishes based on personal preference like vegetables, fried eggs or sausages.

In the past, Koreans packed lunch for their children before they went to school, usually in tin containers that were put on a stove to keep them warm until lunch. Today, certain restaurants in Korea serve food in such containers for those nostalgic for the past or young people who want to experience what their parents ate for lunch.

After seeing such packed meals while watching the smash Netflix series "Squid Game," I made my own Korean-style lunchbox. I used kimchi, sausage, zucchini, sesame oil, soy sauce, red chili powder and eggs.

I began by chopping the sausage and zucchini and later dipped them in eggs and fried them. I also fried the kimchi with sesame oil, red chili powder and soy sauce. Finally, I placed all the food into the lunchbox with rice. A suggestion is to use food and ingredients available in your country according to season.
