This year marks my third with the K-influencer Academy of Korea.net under the Korean Culture and Information Service. This program changed both my personal life and social media presence as I went from being a fan of Hallyu who uploaded videos on YouTube to an ambassador of Korean culture.
Being part of the academy has been the best experience of my life as it helped me learn new things about social media, promote my YouTube channel "Cassi Cute" and meet wonderful people from all over the world.
The application period for the academy this year has started, so let me tell you about my experience and why you should apply.
Being a K-influencer
Before I joined the academy, I used to make YouTube videos about K-pop for fun. Everything changed when I entered the academy as the staff encouraged me to create Korea-related content on YouTube every week. They also taught me how to plan my videos, record, edit and upload them on YouTube to reach more people, and make myself known. This led to my videos getting noticed from lots of people.
And to become a YouTuber who promotes Korean culture, you need a lot of creativity, the ability to make friends online, and a camera, video editor and YouTube channel. Anyone can be an influencer with enough desire to be a good influence on other people. If you're already an influencer, this academy will greatly motivate you to improve your content on Korea.
Joining the K-influencer Academy forever changed my life and social media presence.
Gifts and benefits
In addition to learning about everything you need to be an influencer on YouTube, the academy offers gifts to K-influencers who create the best Korea-related content on their YouTube channels, know-how in promotional marketing of videos, participation in online or offline festivals, and opportunities to appear on TV and Korea.net's YouTube channel. At the end of the term, the top five finalists receive a trip to Korea.
As the academy's winner in 2020 and last year, I feel that this program changed my perspective on social media and showed how a Hallyu fan can positively influence, motivate and brighten someone's day. If you love Korean culture and want to express your love for Korea, the academy is for you.
I visited Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul in December last year.
Grand prize
Many want to join the academy to win a free trip to Korea. It took me many months of hard work but it was worth it as I fulfilled my dream of traveling to the country I love most. It was one of the best experiences of my life as I went to many beautiful places I saw on K-dramas. Maybe this dream can also be yours to achieve by joining the K-influencer Academy.
