For the 12th class of Honorary Reporters, Korea.net held an orientation and workshop on May 21 through a ZOOM meeting hosted by Honorary Reporter coordinators Kal Hong and Enny Kim.

The following are highlights from the orientation and workshop that I took part in.

Orientation
In the first session, the coordinators started the orientation with a briefing on the Honorary Reporters program like history, basic ethics, roles and duties. At the end, we were encouraged to participate in Korea.net-sponsored events, contests and workshops, make friends and do collaborations with other Honorary Reporters. Before the workshop on the new webpage, the coordinators allowed a 30-minute break to allow Honorary Reporters to get to know each other. Everyone seemed happy to chat and exchanged SNS IDs.

In this session, the coordinators showed us how to upload articles, photo news and videos and  use other functions including downloading the certificate of appointment for an Honorary Reporter. The new site for the program will become the main portal for Honorary Reporters to deliver information on Korea through a range of media.

Before the end of the session, our coordinators shared commemorative printable stickers of Kocnuni, the mascot of the Korean Culture and Information Service, designed by Honorary Reporter Sanya Bhardwaj from India, who also took part in the event.

After participating in the orientation, I feel that the Honorary Reporter program this year will be great. I look forward to another exciting journey with Korea net. The additional features on the web page of uploading photos and videos have motivated me to share more about Korea with the world.

My goal through this program is focusing on my interest in Korean culture, continuing to be more creative, and working on Korean arts and crafts. I would also love to collaborate with other Honorary Reporters so we can support each other's ideas and hope to take many more photos and videos that share Korea-related experiences and events that happen in my country.
