The Korean Embassy in Romania on May 27 hosted a networking event for social networking services (SNS) supporters and webzine writers from 2018 to this year at the official residence of Ambassador Rim Kap-soo in Bucharest. The supporters and writers project is an activity seeking to boost bilateral relations.

The goal is to provide young fans of Korea the chance and support to express and spread their perspectives on and passion for Korean culture. As a member of the fifth class of such people, I enjoyed meeting the ambassador, embassy staff, and fellow fans of Hallyu.

The following is a brief account of the event.

The awards ceremony for the fifth class was held and members of the sixth were encouraged. Ambassador Rim delivered a speech in Romanian thanking the participants, and hearing his message was touching and emotional to me. Supporters were also invited to describe their own experiences with projects.

Dinner was provided following the formalities complete with Korean cuisine, sweets and fresh seasonal fruit.

I got to meet fellow Honorary Reporters from Romania Andra Michaela Pena and Ruth Rosian. All three of us chose to serve as SNS supporters and webzine writers for the embassy, and we exchanged ideas and make new connections.

I met two fellow Honorary Reporters from Romania as well as other interesting people at the event.
