Actor Lee Chae-young has appeared in both dramas and movies like the daily series "Woman In A Veil."
Actor Lee Chae-young has appeared in both Korean dramas and movies, and is famous for playing the main villains in the daily series "Woman In A Veil" and "Man In A Veil." She has also played roles in Korean and Chinese movies like "Life Is Cool," "The Cursed Lesson" and "The Killer: A Girl Who Deserves to Die."
Since a villain makes a story unique, I contacted her through her social media on June 10 and she agreed to an interview two days later. Due to her workload, however, our communication lasted until June 18.
The following is excerpts from the interview from June 12-18.
The first drama I saw you in was "30K Miles in Search of My Son." What do you remember about this?
I was so young back then and not used to standing in front of the camera, so I was nervous every day. I also wasn't used to hearing my voice, so I recorded my lines on a recorder and listen to my voice again.
You appear in the daily drama "Woman In A Veil." Is it easy playing your character?
No, it's not easy playing Ju Ae-ra because each episode is long and the cast needs to adapt to the script whenever a new episode comes out.

You won an award for your role in the hit drama "Man In A Veil." Did you expect that?
It was unexpected and a big surprise for me, so it's a moment I'll always treasure.
Lee Chae-young appears in the medical drama "A Poem a Day."
Daily dramas are popular in Korea but not abroad perhaps because of so many episodes. Give two reasons to watch such a program.
Since each episode is long, various stories and interesting twists await. I recommend watching a daily drama with a comfortable mind.
Why do you think K-dramas have gotten so popular worldwide?
I think it's because of the originality and completeness of Korean culture, and the perseverance of Koreans apparently led to the growth of such content.
Is there any role you want to play?
I want to play the role of Sheldon from the American sitcom "Big Bang Theory." I find him a comfortable and fun character, two traits that don't come easy for me.
