This is the ceremony at the Korean Cultural Section of the Korean Embassy in Iran where I was honored as a leading K-influencer, with Korean Ambassador to Tehran Yun Kang-hyeon (center) attending. (Korean Embassy in Iran)

I've promoted just about anything Korean online over the last two years. Last year, I joined the Honorary Reporters corps and was named a leading influencer of Korean culture by the Korean Cultural Section of the Korean Embassy in Iran.

This is a look back at my experience as a K-influencer through writing stories as an Honorary Reporter. I consider this a great way to motivate others who do the same.

My goal is to bridge the cultural gap between Korea and Iran and share the unique similarities and differences between both countries. Because I value diversity, I ensure coverage of a variety of topics on Korean culture and lifestyle, and this is what makes my work stand out from those that focus on a specific topic like K-pop.

I hold online workshops on Korea with guests from both countries, including this one on Korean cuisine. (Zahra Janmohammadlou)

I post about my daily life and interviews with Korean figures, but my content on Korean food and travel is the most popular. I also report on cultural events at institutions like the Korean Embassy in Tehran and my country's branch of King Sejong Institute. I produce diverse content to post on Instagram, YouTube and Telegram in Farsi, Korean and English.

I work at events on Korea including this one hosted by the Korean Embassy in Iran and King Sejong Institute's Tehran branch. (Korean Embassy in Iran)

In addition to posting online content, I attend exhibitions, festivals and events related to Korea in Iran and promote them on social media. So on-site promotions comprise most of my offline activities. I've also worked as staff at cultural events about Korea and make connections on both sides by comparing cultural elements of both countries. And I hold online workshops related to Korea featuring guests from both countries.

My plan is to expand my offline activities as well as continue those online. Specifically, I want to hold offline workshops and events on Korean culture.
