The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Nigeria on May 25 held a K-pop festival at the culture and arts center Terra Kulture in Lagos, Nigeria. This event sought to attract K-pop enthusiasts to the country's biggest song-and-dance competition of its kind. 


Starting things off were the playing of the Korean and Nigerian national anthems, followed by an opening speech from Consul General Lee Sang-ho from the Lagos office of the Korean Embassy in Nigeria. The attendees included K-pop enthusiasts, Koreans and supportive parents of the contestants.

The song-and-dance competition commenced as the main event with an impressive rendition of Kim Ho-joong's "Meet You Among Them" by Macwhitney Myles. Adubiaro Tobi Wale later captivated the audience by dancing to "On" by BTS. 


Standout vocal performances included Amarachi Doris Amushi with "Love Is the Moment" by Changmin and Mari with "Smart" by LE SSERAFIM.


The dance performances saw the acts deliver exceptional routines like Team Blaze with "Back Door" by Stray Kids, De Generalz with "Magic" by TXT and Femmeforce with "O.O" by NMIXX. 


The Korean judges comprising voice coach Seo Ye Na and dance instructor Jang Eun-jae demonstrated their respective talents with performances. 


During breaks, a raffle awarded prizes including LG Electronics' ear pods, speakers and televisions.

A vote decided Femmeforce as the winner of the popularity award. All other winners were announced afterwards from the song and dance categories.


The festival ended with attendees singing and dancing along to K-pop songs.
