KVibe Nigeria on July 6 hosted a K-pop random dance challenge and picnic at Muri Okunola Park in Lagos. Part of the Korean Culture Festival, the event provided a rare opportunity for K-pop fans in Africa to bond and share their passion for Korean culture.

Playing K-pop-themed games

The event began at 1:30 pm with a picnic hangout, where early arrivals received gifts. Attendees spread mats on the grass, shared snacks and played K-pop-themed games like "K-pop charades" and guessing a song by its choreography, later dancing in the day.

After the games, everyone moved to an open area of the park for the random dance. The playlist was posted online beforehand, allowing participants to learn the choreography. Forming a semi-circle, attendees danced in the center if they knew the moves, with the most active to receive a prize.

Music by RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, Stray Kids, ITZY, BABYMONSTER, SEVENTEEN, ILLIT, aespa and NewJeans played through a loudspeaker, filling the air with laughter and excitement as fans danced.

Afterwards, the picnic continued with games such as guessing a K-drama or cast member.
