HONGJOONG, leader of the K-pop boy band ATEEZ, is a strong advocate of social issues. To celebrate his birthday this year, he invited global fans of the group, collectively dubbed ATINY, to take part in a virtual run of 6K to promote access to clean water through ATEEZ's social media.

In collaboration with World Vision, the event asked participants to walk or run at their own pace and location to raise funds for clean water. The distance symbolized the daily struggle of children in developing economies, people who often have to walk 6 km to access clean water.

Registration for the event was available from Oct. 14-23 on the KQ Entertainment app TOKTOQ. HONGJOONG's version of a digital number and the G6K medal-shaped emblem were offered as digital rewards to ATINYs who registered.

Participants had to upload proof of walking or running from Nov. 1-7 on their social media accounts.

Aras, owner of the X account who brought Indonesian fans to Jakarta, said, "I personally really liked joining this event and the moment was perfect when HONGJOONG invited me to donate by walking or running."

"Our gathering is free and open to anyone whether they donate or not, because the intent is to have a fun gathering. From the beginning until the end of the walk, Indonesian ATEEZ fans helped share free drinking water."

HONGJOONG on his Instagram account said, "With the opportunity through this event, it means a lot to everyone who walks and runs with the same intent and purpose, regardless of time and place, to promote clean drinking water more widely."
