"Seoul My Soul" on Dec. 5 was held at the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) in New Delhi. Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization (STO), the event aimed to promote Seoul as a premier tourist destination.
The Brand Zone showcases exclusive "Seoul My Soul" merchandise including T-shirts and accessories. Visitors are shown putting on face paint and sticker tattoos.
With over 3,000 attendees, the venue featured thematic zones showcasing the best of Seoul's culture, art and lifestyle. The beauty section offered the latest Korean cosmetic trends and personalized makeovers. A photo zone let attendees use wigs, headgear and accessories in photo ops with K-pop music video-inspired settings.
Another highlight was a grand moon-shaped balloon recently launched in Seoul. The brand zone offered exclusive "Seoul My Soul" merchandise including caps, T-shirts, accessories and toys.
The "Seoul My Soul" event offered a wide variety of things to do and see for visitors.
Artists Hong Won-pyo and Yun Song-A added a creative element through their presentations. Hong is a multi-disciplinary practitioner of pop art known for his paintings, sculptures and installations, while Yun creates works that symbolize modern humanity.
Every attendee received a bag of goodies, but the excitement didn't end there. A lottery gave two lucky winners roundtrip tickets from Seoul to New Delhi and hotel vouchers to experience the Korean capital firsthand.
Then came live entertainment. A mini K-pop concert was held when the Indian K-pop cover dance groups ZXT, Eternals and EZ gave energetic performances. They set the stage for a performance by the K-pop boy band ONEUS, who had the crowd singing and dancing along.
The top four photos show the K-pop boy band ONEUS performing at the "Seoul my Soul" event and the bottom three show Indian K-pop dance cover crews ZXT, EZ and Eternals.
One attendee said, "I've always wanted to visit Seoul because I love K-pop and K-dramas, and I'm so glad that this event came to India. It's inspired me to plan a trip to Seoul."
STO chief Gil Ki-yeon thanked visitors for coming and shared his city's must-visit destinations.
"We are thrilled to see growing enthusiasm for the Korean Wave in India. This event is a testament to the strong bond between Seoul and India," he said. "We look forward to welcoming more Indian tourists to experience the charm of Seoul. I love India and its people and can't wait to return to this beautiful country."
