The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in Abuja, Nigeria, in collaboration with the Korean Film Council, from Aug. 21-23 hosted the annual Korean Film Festival at Silverbird Cinemas  Abuja. 


Over 300 attendees were treated to a captivating lineup of movies such as "Untouchable Lawmen," "Sunset in My Hometown," "We Are Brothers," "Fengshui" and "Little Forest." 


KCC Director Jeon Ju Ho in his opening speech highlighted the event's role in fostering meaningful cultural connections between Korea and Nigeria.

The opening ceremony was attended by guests including members of the diplomatic corps, KCC Director Jeon Juho, Nigerian Film Festival Association Chairman Uche Agbo, Honorary Reporters and Hallyu content creators.


The festival featured a range of activities including popcorn and snack stations, raffles and games.

A movie workshop on Aug. 22 screened "Journey to Martyrdom" directed by Chima Igbokwe. 


One visitor who traveled from Lagos to Abuja for the festival, said, "This festival has been a game changer. I've never felt so connected to a culture that's thousands of miles away. The films, the music, the people – everything was just so magical."
