Participants were first introduced to the history, tools and methods of seoye before practicing under the guidance of the masters. The association's president Yoo Hyun Tuk, a distinguished seoye master, called the art "an elegant dance between brush and paper, where each stroke is a deliberate act, reflecting the calligrapher's inner spirit, emotions and character."
The opening ceremony for a bilateral calligraphy exhibition under the theme "Family" was held on Oct. 23 at the official residence of Ambassador to Tehran Kim Jun-Pyo, attracting Korean artists and famous Iranian calligraphers.
