The third Korea Street Fair from Nov. 14-16 at Worldmark Aerocity in New Delhi, India, was jointly organized by the Korea Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India Biz Solution and Asian Community News, with support from the Korean Embassy in India and key Korean trade and tourist organizations.

Under the theme "Walk Seoul, Live Korea," the event featured eight reimagined areas of Seoul including Hongdae, Myeong-dong and Gangnam by combining Korean music, food, beauty and lifestyle products. I visited the fair on opening day and saw programs illuminated by festive red-and-blue lanterns.

Hongdae Street housed the main stage, where key figures like Ambassador to India Lee Seong Ho delivered speeches. He emphasized the event's role in promoting bilateral friendship and bridging trade relations.

A traditional samulnori (traditional percussion) performance by a troupe from the Korean Cultural Center in India and an energetic K-pop dance by the Delhi-based group Eternals followed.

The fair featured performances by Eternals, a New Delhi-based K-pop cover dance group, and the Korean Cultural Center in India's samulnori team.

The Seongsu and Myeong-dong zones featured a range of beauty and fashion products. The K-Beauty Makeover Zone featured live influencer talks, beauty tips and makeover sessions, drawing large crowds.

Korean accessories, bags and lifestyle products from Korean and Indian brands alike were available for purchase. A Hanbok (traditional clothing) dressing section, K-pop merchandise and snacks added charm and variety.

And the Han River Picnic Zone provided spaces where Korean culture enthusiasts, creators and business representatives could hold meetings and network.

A zone featuring Korean food, beverages and games highlighted the growing popularity of Korean food among youth. Two sections featuring Insadong Street and Gwangjang Market of Seoul offered a variety of Korean street foods from spicy ramyeon (instant noodles) to hot dumplings, tteokbokki (spicy rice cake), gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and corn dogs.

Traditional games from the smash series "Squid Game" like yunnori (board game with four sticks) and ddakji chigi (folded paper tiles) entertained visitors, as well as the popular dalgona (honeycomb candy) challenge.

The fair is rapidly becoming one of India's largest Hallyu (Korean Wave) events, with over 50 brands featured ranging from small businesses to major corporations.
