Last year, I took part in four Korea-related programs, and all of them aided my self-development and improved my confidence as a writer, creator and researcher.

I promoted Korea globally by participating in the Korea International Cooperation Agency's (KOICA) WeKO program, Korea.net Honorary Reporters, K-Influencer Academy and the Hallyu Creator Program of the Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in Abuja, Nigeria.

Through WeKO, a five-month program with 100 domestic and global supporters, I conducted research, wrote articles for my website about Korea, and created visual content aligned with my academic interests in economic history, official development assistance and KOICA. I produced vlog-style videos, Q&A content and news card posts, especially those highlighting KOICA Nigeria's development activities.

My journey as an Honorary Reporter helped improve my writing skills and interviews, and I went beyond doing my normal research and blog-style articles. I joined the program in 2022, and last year was my third in the program.

I developed better writing skills thanks to a Korea.net workshop. And for the first time in my three years as an Honorary Reporter with over 60 articles, several of my stories made it to the official Korea.net website.

As a K-influencer, I focused on creating video content promoting Korean culture, especially its traditional aspects. I took part in K-Influencer Academy workshops, which taught me that Korean culture can be shared anywhere in the world and experimentation with visual styles. My most memorable project was making a video about finding Korean groceries during my summer school in Germany.

The final activity was the KCC's Hallyu Creator Program, which included training on improving video production and using artificial intelligence tools for content creation. I also volunteered at events organized by the Korean Embassy and KCC including the inaugural K-Heritage Festival in Lagos, where I worked with both stage and backstage teams.

Through these programs, I created content covering Korean culture, history, diplomacy and development and this deepened my interest in Korea and my self-development.
