The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in Abuja, Nigeria, on Feb. 5, 2026 hosted the final live showcase of the Korea-Nigeria Song Camp & Music Collaboration Program, in order to strengthen cultural ties between Korea and Nigeria and foster artistic partnerships.

The buildup to this night began days earlier on Feb. 2, when the KCC hosted a music production workshop focusing on music production insights, arrangement techniques, vocal direction and artistic development.
It was led by Lee Haneung, a music composer, producer, pianist and professor at Hoseo University, and Seo Yena, a producer and vocal director. Nigerian artists like Bima, Atela and FirstKlaz participated in the class and listening session, which facilitated professional exchange, networking, and the fusion of Afrobeats and K-pop.

The evening of Feb. 5 brought together Seo and Lee again, this time on stage, delivering performances that captivated the audience. The event also saw the premiere of an original fusion track co-created with FirstKlaz and highlighting the seamless blend of rhythmic Afrobeats with the dynamic energy of K-pop.

Seo brought her expertise in vocal training and performance to the stage, while Lee shared his experience in music production, arrangement and performance.
I found this event nothing short of outstanding. From the electrifying performances to the seamless blend of Afrobeats and K-pop, I felt like every moment was history in the making. The energy in the room, chemistry between the artists and sheer joy of the audience made it one of the most unforgettable cultural events I've attended.
