The endangered species yellow rosemallow blooms and flaunts its appearance on the afternoon of July 7 at the coastal road of the town of Daejeong-eup in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. Blooming from June to August, the flower is light yellow and resembles the national flower mugunghwa (rose of Sharon), thus its nickname is "yellow mugunghwa." Found along the coastal roads of Jeju, this rare flower is designated a Class 2 endangered wild plant.
