President Moon Jae-in and first lady Kim Jung-sook on the morning of Aug. 18 pay a silent tribute at a ceremony for burying the remains of Gen. Hong Beom-do, a pro-independence fighter, at Daejeon National Cemetery in Daejeon. The remains were repatriated on Aug. 15 from Kazakhstan and buried three days later at the cemetery's Graveyard for Patriots after a two-day mourning period.
