On the morning of Sept. 15, the first unit of the Casper, a compact SUV from the signature job project of President Moon Jae-in, is unveiled at the Gwangju Global Motors (GGM) plant in the Bitgreen Industrial Complex of Gwangju's Gwangsan-gu District. The Casper is Hyundai Motor's first compact SUV and will be produced on consignment by GGM, a joint venture established by the carmaker and the Gwangju Metropolitan Government. The sale price ranges from KRW 13.85 million to KRW 18.7 million. The project is a new economic model for shared growth by labor and management in which unions and companies make compromises to reduce wages and increase jobs.
