Shoppers on Nov. 11 look for select stick-shaped sweets at the Yongsan branch of Emart in Seoul's Yongsan-gu District on the occasion of Pepero Day. This day started with a form of "day marketing" connecting the number 11 in the date 11/11 (Nov. 11) with the elongated shape of the snack Pepero. Pepero Day is like Valentine's Day in that couples, friends and family exchange the snack and other gifts.
