Egrets on Dec. 30 gather at the mouth of Namdaecheon Stream in Gangneung, Gangwon-do Province, to seek sunshine amid the recent cold wave, with a subzero morning temperature. The Korea Meteorological Administration said the mercury from Dec. 30 in the afternoon will plummet and that the morning of Dec. 31 will see minus 10 degrees Celsius in most areas.
