The Seoul Metro from Feb. 14 launched operations of new electric subway cars on Line No. 3 to replace those procured more than 30 years ago. A media release event was held at Jichuk Car Depot in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do Province. The new models feature surveillance cameras, wireless and super-fast chargers of cell phones, emergency ladders in compartments, equipment to improve air quality and wider seats to fit six passengers.
