Office workers without masks on May 2, the day when the outdoor mask mandate was lifted, take a walk on the trail Jeongdong-gil in Seoul's Jung-gu District. Mandatory mask wearing on walking and hiking trails, outdoor physical education classes and outdoor subway platforms was suspended from that day. This is the first time in 566 days for the mandate to end since it was instituted on Oct. 13, 2020, under the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
