Young women born in 2003 and wearing the ceremonial upper garment dangui on the morning of May 16 gather at Cheonugak Pavilion in Seoul's Namsangol Hanok Village to take part in a reenactment of a traditional ceremony for Coming of Age Day and prostrate to parents. Since the event's launch in 1987, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has held the ceremony every year on the third Monday in May.
